Big John’s Restaurant and adjoining Side Bar is fully licensed. The wine menu is extensive, including its best seller, Big John’s “Top Drop”.

Big John’s Pizza was first established in early 1985 as a small pizza take away shop. The shop was operated as a one man show by “Big John” himself, and was making what was then known as “the best pizza in Bondi”. The continuing high demand for these unique pizzas resulted in the introduction of a home delivery service. Due to its phenomenal success, a seven man team was formed led by Big John himself. The Big John’s Pizza Pty Ltd. Company was formed, and the idea of offering great food friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere led to the development of The Big John’s Seafood Restaurant at Sans Souci in 1989. With the restaurant proving a huge success, a third shop in Bondi was opened in 1997, offering al-la-carte menu.



The Sans Souci venue became such a popular spot in the south, the upstairs level was developed to increase seating capacity and was opened to the awaiting public in 1998. In 2004 “The Side Bar” was completed providing a meeting place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink, or drop in after a show and have a quiet rendezvous.

Today our continuous personal service and menu of the best italian food and pizza has made our three restaurants the talk of the town. Big John’s aims to expand with a Master License so it can offer good food and service to all of Sydney.
