Under new ownership since January 2024, the restaurant has been reinvigorated while keeping everything that made it a local institution — epic portions, fresh local seafood, and a warm family atmosphere across 200 seats.

Seafood worth the short drive

The Big Johns Seafood Platter is the headline act — a showstopping spread of king prawns, calamari rings, local black mussels, balmain bugs, chargrilled baby octopus, local rock oysters and a whole snapper.
